I do love Detroit’s Eastern Market, you never know what will catch your eye. Shot this Multicolored Rose while shopping for food and flowers for Easter Dinner.
Shot with a Olympus E-M5 45mm lens.
Got a chance to spend a couple hours down at the Marche Du Nain Rouge, a Detroit tradition that dates back 3 or 4 years. It a party, it’s a parade, It a chance to welcome spring to Detroit and chase out the Nain Rouge ( Red Dwarf ) out of Detroit. Click the link to read THE OFFICIAL LEGEND OF LE MARCHE DU NAIN ROUGE.
It was fine day, caught up with some old friends and tripped over some new friends (those I tripped over I sincerely apologize, hope i did not cause you spill your beverage).
I look forward to next years Marche du Nain Rouge.

It was a busy weekend for Detroit, we had the Detroit Gran Prix on Belle Isle, the Hoe-Down on the Riverfront and the grand opening of the “Sunday Street Market” at the Detroit Eastern Market.
The Sunday Street Market is a chance to utilize a space that generally sits empty on a Sunday.
So I headed down with camera in hand to see what it was like. I was pleasantly surprise, dealers of all kinds, food trucks, street musician and lots of folks shopping, eat’in and chatting. It was great fun.
The market is one of my favorite places in Detroit, I love doing “street photography” there, so many great characters to photograph.
